 STATE HOUSE PRESS RELEASE  PRESIDENT TINUBU APPOINTS MINISTER OF STATE FOR PETROLEUM RESOURCES (GAS) AS CO-CHAIRMAN OF NCDMB GOVERNING COUNCIL In line with his avowed commitment to establish a more efficient, targeted, and consistent approval process for unique oil and gas projects in the country, President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Mr. Ekperikpe Ekpo, Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Gas), as the Co-Chairman of the Governing Council of the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB). This is also to further ensure effective oversight of the gas aspect of the nation's assets. The President remains committed to unlocking Nigeria's immense gas potential to stimulate industrial development, job creation, and sustainable economic growth. OUTRAGE IN INDIA,AFTER 5 MEN RECENTLY GANG-RAPE A STUDENT FOR THE SECOND TIME.#SAD.

                            According to BBC,who reported  today that there has been outrage in India after a student was allegedly gang-raped by five men who had also raped her three years ago.Police are yet to make any arrests although the 21 year old was attacked last week in Rohtak town in the northern state of Haryana.She had been pursuing a case in court against the five men,when she was attacked on wednesday.The woman said she was forced inside a car and the men tried to strangle her.She was seriously injured and left for dead in the bushes.A passerby saw her and took her to the hospital.The woman was first assaulted in 2013 in Bhiwani town,Her family has alleged that they had moved to Rohtak after they were threatened by the accused who have been out on bail.The woman who is from a poor low-caste Dalit {formerly known as untouchables} told a television station that ''I was leaving the college when i saw them.They were the same five men.I was very afraid.They forced me inside the car.They tried to strangle me.They said they would kill my father and brother.I have no idea where they took me.My attackers were the same five men''.One more photo below.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours. In a letter drafted by her lawyers, Deji Adeyanju and Co, Namtira asked the school authorities to immediately investigate and pronounce the stiffest punishments in the student’s rule book on Ms.Maryam Hassan, Miss Faliya, and nine other students who bullied her.
