 Legendary actor Manoj Kumar dies at 87: ‘Roti Kapada Aur Makaan’ director breathes his last in Mumbai Manoj Kumar, the Bollywood actor and filmmaker, renowned for his patriotic films, passed away at the age of 87 at Mumbai's Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital. The cause of his death was identified as cardiogenic shock due to acute myocardial infarction, according to medical reports. The medical reports confirmed that apart from a severe heart attack that took away his life, Manoj had been battling decompensated liver cirrhosis for the past few months, ANI reported. Following deteriorating health condition, he was admitted to the hospital on February 21, 2025. Popularly known as ‘Bharat Kumar,’ Manoj Kumar was an exceptional director and actor who was honoured with National Film Award.      1. The stakeholders within Northern Borno have been urged to collaborate with the Nigerian Army to end the insurgency in that region.
2.The Acting Commander Sector 3 Operation LAFIYA DOLE Brigadier General Uwem Bassey, made the call in Headquarters Sector 3 during a meeting with some Local Government officials within the sector’s Area of Operational Responsibility.
3. He also appealed to the stakeholders to cooperate with the troops through sharing of credible information concerning the terrorists.
4. Responding on behalf of the stakeholders, the Secretary to Nghazai Local Government Area of Borno State Hon Shettima Mohammed, expressed gratitude to the Nigerian Army for restoring peace and sanity to their communities.
5. He assured the Commander of their cooperation and promise to share any vital information at their disposal with the Nigerian Army.
6. Present at the meeting are, Local Government officials from Nghazai, Monguno, Marte, Guzamala, Kukawa Local Government Areas of Borno State.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
