 TROOPS ARREST SUSPECTED KIDNAPPER, RECOVER AK-47 RIFLE ALONG BENIN–SAPELE ROAD Troops of 4 Brigade Nigerian Army, Operation WABAIZIGAN, have arrested a suspected kidnapper and recovered an AK-47 rifle and ammunition during a targeted operation along the Benin–Sapele Road in Ikpoba-Okha LGA of Edo State. The suspect, identified as Olamide Oyeniyi, was arrested on 12 September 2026 at Obaretin Community by troops conducting operations to disrupt criminal activities and safeguard major transportation routes within the area. Items recovered from the suspect include one AK-47 rifle, one magazine and eight rounds of 7.62mm Special ammunition. Other items recovered are one Tecno mobile phone, two bags, one torchlight, one music box and assorted charms. LECTURER ACCUSED OF BEATING HIS WIFE TO DEATH 2-WEEKS AFTER SHE GAVE BIRTH,IN RIVERS STATE.{PHOTOS}.

      A lecturer at the College of Health in Rivers state, Mr Jonathan, has been accused of beating his wife, Ole, to death, just two weeks after she welcomed their child.
In a post shared on Facebook, an aunt of the deceased, Nkesi Wogu, alleged that Mr Jonathan, is currently on the run after beating Ole to death in the presence of her mother.
''My niece with a two weeks old baby was beaten to death by her husband the man is oh the run his from etche and also a witness. Good bye my soft spoken sis rest in peace'' she wrote
Also the sister of the deceased, Constance Wogboroma, took to facebook to mourn her. She wrote
'' My own sister, My very best friend, my gist mate. So our discussion yesterday was a good bye. Hey! My heart is very heavy o. How i wish tears can just bring you back for us especially for your 2 weeks old baby.
The matter has since been reported to the police and investigations have since commenced.One more photo below.
