 Texas man arrested with 75 pounds of marijuana in luggage while flying to London, police say A Texas man was arrested at Miami International Airport after authorities found 75 pounds of marijuana in his luggage before he could board a flight to London. Harrison O’Neill Tiernan, 23, from Austin, was charged with cannabis trafficking. He was traveling to Heathrow Airport and had checked two suitcases for his British Airways flight. Inspectors discovered 65 vacuum-sealed packages containing a green, leafy substance later confirmed to be marijuana. U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers stopped Tiernan while he attempted to board the flight, and he acknowledged that the bags were his. Authorities noted the inspections were part of broader efforts at the airport due to high outbound narcotics activity. In total, Tiernan was carrying 34.01 kilograms, or 74.98 pounds, of marijuana. RESCUED: DIRECTOR OF LAGOS STATE FIRE SERVICE AND 6 OTHERS ABDUCTED RESCUED UNHURT.#PRESS RELEASE.

      The Director of Lagos State Fire Service, Rasaki Musibau, and six others kidnapped on the 6th of April, 2019 at about 8.00pm, in Ketu-Ereyun, Ikorodu have been released by their abductors unhurt.
According to a statement released by the Police Public Relations Officer, Lagos State, DSP Bala Elkana, the victims who were released at exactly 11:45pm have since reunited with their families.
The Statement added that the Lagos State Police Command's Tactical teams are still in the creeks and forests combating the hoodlums and had also put in place security surveillance across the State to forestall future occurrence.
The Command deeply appreciate the support of Lagos State Government and the good people of Lagos State who identified with force and also provided useful information that facilitated the prompt rescue of the victims.
"Together we will continue to make Lagos State one of the safest states in Nigeria," The PPRO stated.
It should be noted that the Director of Lagos State Fire Service resumed to his duty post on Wednesday morning and had since commenced his official duties.
