 NUT Protest : Wike Warns Against Politicising Insecurity The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has warned against politicising insecurity amid protests by the Nigeria Union of Teachers, FCT wing, over the killing and abduction of school staff and children in Oyo State. Teachers stormed the FCTA Secretariat in Abuja to condemn the killing of Michael Oyedokun and to demand the release of abducted pupils and teachers from Community High School, Ahoro-Esinle in Oriire Local Government Area. The FCT minister addressed the protesters on Tuesday, saying the federal government is on its toes working to secure the rescue of the schoolchildren and their teachers. Wike urged protesters to avoid turning the tragedy into a political issue and to give security efforts time to produce results. Executive Governor of Zamfara State, Dr. Bello Mohammed Matawalle is expected to be the chief host.

Keynote speakers are: Mr. Babajide Otitoju, TVC, Journalists Hangout; DCP Abba Kyari, Commander, IGP-IRT; Omooba Segun Adewale, CEO, 24/7 Communications; Titilayo Oseni, Former Speaker, Ogun State House of Assembly and Mr. Olamilekan Adeola, MD, Zenith Carex.

According to the organisers, Guest Speakers expected at the event are: Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Executive Governor of Lagos State; Engr. Oluseyi Makinde, Executive Governor of Oyo State; Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, Executive Governor of Sokoto State; Mr. Samuel Laraer Ortom, Executive Governor of Venue State; Babagana Umara Zulum (MNI), Executive Governor of Borno State and Aminu Bello Masari, Executive Governor of Katsina State.
According to the statement from organisers, media partners are TVC, Galaxy Television and NTA.

Meanwhile, it was gathered that top celebrities, technocrats, top politicians, entrepreneurs and professionals are all set to grace the event.
