 TROOPS ARREST SUSPECTED KIDNAPPER, RECOVER AK-47 RIFLE ALONG BENIN–SAPELE ROAD Troops of 4 Brigade Nigerian Army, Operation WABAIZIGAN, have arrested a suspected kidnapper and recovered an AK-47 rifle and ammunition during a targeted operation along the Benin–Sapele Road in Ikpoba-Okha LGA of Edo State. The suspect, identified as Olamide Oyeniyi, was arrested on 12 September 2026 at Obaretin Community by troops conducting operations to disrupt criminal activities and safeguard major transportation routes within the area. Items recovered from the suspect include one AK-47 rifle, one magazine and eight rounds of 7.62mm Special ammunition. Other items recovered are one Tecno mobile phone, two bags, one torchlight, one music box and assorted charms. Executive Governor of Zamfara State, Dr. Bello Mohammed Matawalle is expected to be the chief host.

Keynote speakers are: Mr. Babajide Otitoju, TVC, Journalists Hangout; DCP Abba Kyari, Commander, IGP-IRT; Omooba Segun Adewale, CEO, 24/7 Communications; Titilayo Oseni, Former Speaker, Ogun State House of Assembly and Mr. Olamilekan Adeola, MD, Zenith Carex.

According to the organisers, Guest Speakers expected at the event are: Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Executive Governor of Lagos State; Engr. Oluseyi Makinde, Executive Governor of Oyo State; Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, Executive Governor of Sokoto State; Mr. Samuel Laraer Ortom, Executive Governor of Venue State; Babagana Umara Zulum (MNI), Executive Governor of Borno State and Aminu Bello Masari, Executive Governor of Katsina State.
According to the statement from organisers, media partners are TVC, Galaxy Television and NTA.

Meanwhile, it was gathered that top celebrities, technocrats, top politicians, entrepreneurs and professionals are all set to grace the event.
