 Trump administration halts border wall well drilling in New Mexico after ranchers raise water concerns  The Trump administration has ordered contractors building a border wall in New Mexico to stop drilling new wells after ranchers raised concerns that groundwater pumping for construction could worsen drought conditions and threaten their livestock. The move comes as crews work to expand border barriers across four states as part of President Donald Trump’s immigration agenda. The project has received billions in federal funding and has faced criticism from residents, environmental groups and local officials over various impacts. U.S. Customs and Border Protection, which oversees construction, has said water is needed for concrete production, road construction and controlling dust. EFCC Arraigns Woman for Employment Scam

The Kaduna Zonal Command of the EFCC, today 22nd February, 2022, arraigned one Amina Jauro (aka Jauro Amina Lawal) before Justice Darius Khobo of Kaduna State High Court on a five count charge bordering on obtaining money by false pretence. 

Amina is alleged to have defrauded some hapless jobseekers of N 1, 850, 000 (One Million, Eight Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira) in 2019 on the pretext that the money would be used to secure employment for them with some Federal Government Agencies. It was after the payment, that they discovered that they had been scammed and efforts to recover their monies proved abortive.
