Abuja was abuzz with excitement as the Executive Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, graced a special dinner held in honor of Senator George Akume. The occasion was organized to commemorate Senator Akume’s recent appointment as the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) by President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR.

The prestigious Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja provided the perfect backdrop for the grand event, which saw the attendance of all the Governors from the North Central region. The distinguished guests included Senate President Sen. Godswill Akpabio, APC National Chairman Sen. Abdullahi Adamu, Comr. Adams Oshiomole, Sen. Emmanuel Udende, and Mrs. Patience Goodluck Jonathan, among many other notable figures from across the country.

The dinner served as a platform for Governor Alia and other esteemed dignitaries to express their congratulations and admiration for Senator Akume’s new role as SGF. The appointment is seen as a testament to his exceptional leadership qualities, dedication, and unwavering commitment to national development.

Notably, the presence of His Royal Majesty Orcivirigh Prof. James Ortese Iorzua Ayatse CFR, the Tor Tiv, added regal splendor to the occasion, further enhancing the celebratory atmosphere.
