 New Head of Service Urges Anambra Civil Servants to Embrace Efficiency and Accountability ‎ ‎By Chizoba Njaka  ‎ ‎The newly appointed Head of Service in Anambra State, Ngozi Anuli Iwouno, has called on civil servants to shift towards efficiency and accountability, promising improvements in welfare.  ‎ ‎Addressing staff at the Jerome Udoji Secretariat Complex in Awka, Iwouno outlined her vision for a professional, merit-based, and citizen-centered service that aligns with Governor Chukwuma Soludo's goals. ‎ ‎Iwouno emphasized that her mission is not just a statement, but a call to action, demanding sincerity and commitment from all workers. AMID COLD WAR, GOV. ALIA ATTENDS DINNER HELD IN HONOUR OF AKUME

Abuja was abuzz with excitement as the Executive Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, graced a special dinner held in honor of Senator George Akume. The occasion was organized to commemorate Senator Akume’s recent appointment as the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) by President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR.

The prestigious Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja provided the perfect backdrop for the grand event, which saw the attendance of all the Governors from the North Central region. The distinguished guests included Senate President Sen. Godswill Akpabio, APC National Chairman Sen. Abdullahi Adamu, Comr. Adams Oshiomole, Sen. Emmanuel Udende, and Mrs. Patience Goodluck Jonathan, among many other notable figures from across the country.

The dinner served as a platform for Governor Alia and other esteemed dignitaries to express their congratulations and admiration for Senator Akume’s new role as SGF. The appointment is seen as a testament to his exceptional leadership qualities, dedication, and unwavering commitment to national development.

Notably, the presence of His Royal Majesty Orcivirigh Prof. James Ortese Iorzua Ayatse CFR, the Tor Tiv, added regal splendor to the occasion, further enhancing the celebratory atmosphere.

 How Suspected Phone Snatchers Killed Army Lieutenant In Kaduna  An army officer identified as Lieutenant IM Abubakar has reportedly been hacked to death by a gang that specialises in phone snatching and other crimes. The deceased was killed in the Unguwan Sarki area of Kaduna metropolis during the week. A popular counter-insurgency expert and security analyst in Lake Chad, Zagazola Makama disclosed this in a Twitter post. Makama described Abubakar as a talented officer.  He said, “Lt IM Abubakar(Isa) A Young Talented Army Officer Was Killed By Phone Snatchers on His Way Home In Unguwan Sarki, Kaduna. May his soul rest in peace.”
