  NBC bans Eedris Abdulkareem’s protest song ‘Tell Your Papa’ from radio, TV The National Broadcasting Commission has barred Nigerian radio and television stations from airing the trending song “Tell Your Papa” by veteran rapper, Eedris Abdulkareem, citing its “objectionable nature.” In a memo dated April 9, 2025 and issued by the Coordinating Director of Broadcast Monitoring, Susan Obi, the commission declared the track Not To Be Broadcast (NTBB) under Section 3.1.8 of the Nigeria Broadcasting Code. This section prohibits content deemed inappropriate, offensive, or in breach of public decency from being aired on Nigerian broadcast platforms. According to the NBC, while the song has gained momentum across social media platforms, its lyrical content fails to meet the standards of responsible broadcasting. OKADA RIDERS ASSOCIATION ENDORSES GOVERNOR UZODIMMA FOR REELECTION 


In a show of solidarity, the Okada Riders Association has thrown its support behind Governor Uzodimma, endorsing him for reelection. With colourful banners and enthusiastic riders lining the Government House front gate, the association made its stance clear in a public gathering.

The decision to endorse Governor Uzodimma stems from what the association claims is a series of positive changes and policies that have benefited its members during his tenure which includes good infrastructure.

His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma in expression of Joy, commended the association for their support to his administration and the development of the State.

The Governor urged them to join in the fight against insecurity by offering useful information and exposing those perpetrating crimes with motorcycles (Okada).

Speaking earlier, the leadership of the Motorcycle (Okada) Riders Association promised more of their unwavering support by voting for Governor Uzodimma and All Progressives Congress in the coming November 11th Gubernatorial election.
