 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken. LASURA SEEKS COMMITMENT, COOPERATION AMONG STAFF


The General Manager of the Lagos State Urban Renewal Agency (LASURA), TPL. Animasahaun Oladimeji has charged staff to be diligent and committed to their duties in the new year.


Speaking during a special prayer session held on the first working day of the year, the General Manager called on all staff of the Agency to demonstrate unwavering commitment and cooperation in the discharge of their duties.


Animashaun said, "As we begin a new year, I urge you all to be diligent and committed to your duties, Let us work together to make LASURA a model Agency in the state, delivering excellent services to the people of Lagos."


He also encouraged the staff to be innovative and proactive in their approach to work, seeking ways to improve processes and deliver better results by striving for excellence and developing specialized skills in their respective fields. 


“By doing so, they will not only enhance their current performance but also position themselves for future career advancement and success”, the LASURA Boss added.


The prayer session attended by all staff, marked the beginning of a new year of service and dedication to the people of Lagos State.
