 KADIRS Warns Residents Against Fake Revenue Collectors, Introduces E-Demand Notice As Sole Payment Authorization The Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS) has cautioned taxpayers and residents of Kaduna State against making revenue payments without first obtaining an official E-Demand Notice (Pay Advice), warning that fraudsters may exploit outdated payment processes to defraud the public. In a public announcement issued on Thursday, KADIRS said the move forms part of its ongoing efforts to automate revenue collection and enhance transparency across the state.  The agency disclosed that manual demand notices previously used for Local Government revenue collection have been phased out and are no longer recognized. According to KADIRS, the E-Demand Notice (Pay Advice) has officially replaced the former Local Government Harmonized Demand Notice and is now the only valid document for on-the-spot taxpayer assessment through the state's Central Billing System.  YOUNG BENUE GIRL STABBED TO DEATH BY SUSPECTED ROBBERS IN LAGOS

A young woman from Benue State, identified as Faith, was tragically stabbed to death by suspected robbers on Friday, June 27, along Mobile Road in the Ajah area of Lagos State.


Faith, who hailed from Itakpa Ito in Obi Local Government Area of Benue State, had reportedly visited her boyfriend earlier that day and was returning home when the incident occurred.


According to eyewitnesses, she was accosted by a group of men who attempted to snatch her phone and handbag. A struggle reportedly ensued, during which one of the assailants stabbed her in the neck with a sharp object, believed to be a knife.


She was left bleeding by the roadside and was later found lifeless by passersby, who alerted security operatives. Her remains have since been deposited in a nearby mortuary.


As of the time of filing this report, the Lagos State Police Command has not issued an official statement on the incident, though sources say investigations are ongoing to track down and apprehend those responsible for the gruesome attack.
