  A manhunt is underway for man who shot a Granite City Police Officer multiple times. Officers in Granite City, Illinois, responded to a call regarding a unwanted subject near the 2000 block of Johnson Road at 2:20 p.m. on Friday, December 5th. Upon arrival, officers attempted to make contact with the suspect. The suspect opened fire on officers before fleeing the scene.  Unfortunately, one officer was struck multiple times. The officer was rushed to a St. Louis University Hospital. He is expected to make a full recovery.  A massive manhunt is now underway to locate the suspect. Authorities warn the public that the man is considered armed and dangerous.  YOUNG BENUE GIRL STABBED TO DEATH BY SUSPECTED ROBBERS IN LAGOS

A young woman from Benue State, identified as Faith, was tragically stabbed to death by suspected robbers on Friday, June 27, along Mobile Road in the Ajah area of Lagos State.


Faith, who hailed from Itakpa Ito in Obi Local Government Area of Benue State, had reportedly visited her boyfriend earlier that day and was returning home when the incident occurred.


According to eyewitnesses, she was accosted by a group of men who attempted to snatch her phone and handbag. A struggle reportedly ensued, during which one of the assailants stabbed her in the neck with a sharp object, believed to be a knife.


She was left bleeding by the roadside and was later found lifeless by passersby, who alerted security operatives. Her remains have since been deposited in a nearby mortuary.


As of the time of filing this report, the Lagos State Police Command has not issued an official statement on the incident, though sources say investigations are ongoing to track down and apprehend those responsible for the gruesome attack.
