 NUT Protest : Wike Warns Against Politicising Insecurity The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has warned against politicising insecurity amid protests by the Nigeria Union of Teachers, FCT wing, over the killing and abduction of school staff and children in Oyo State. Teachers stormed the FCTA Secretariat in Abuja to condemn the killing of Michael Oyedokun and to demand the release of abducted pupils and teachers from Community High School, Ahoro-Esinle in Oriire Local Government Area. The FCT minister addressed the protesters on Tuesday, saying the federal government is on its toes working to secure the rescue of the schoolchildren and their teachers. Wike urged protesters to avoid turning the tragedy into a political issue and to give security efforts time to produce results. NAF INVITES SHORTLISTED CANDIDATES FOR DSSC 34 ENLISTMENT INTERVIEW IN KADUNA


The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) wishes to inform the general public, particularly applicants for the Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC) 34/2025, that the list of shortlisted candidates for the DSSC 34 Selection Interview has been uploaded on the NAF Recruitment Portal. Successful candidates are hereby invited to attend the DSSC 34 Enlistment Interview, scheduled to hold at the Nigerian Air Force Base, Kaduna, from 12 January to 8 February 2026.


Candidates will be interviewed in batches, strictly in accordance with the schedule published on the NAF recruitment website: https://nafrecruitment.airforce.mil.ng. All invited candidates are strongly advised to carefully read and strictly comply with all instructions provided on the portal.Candidates must report as scheduled for their respective batches, as failure to adhere to the stated guidelines may lead to disqualification.


Additionally, applicants are encouraged to familiarise themselves with the information available on the portal, including guidance for prospective officers and airmen, as well as details of the Armed Forces of Nigeria Harmonised Terms and Conditions of Service.
