 TROOPS ARREST SUSPECTED KIDNAPPER, RECOVER AK-47 RIFLE ALONG BENIN–SAPELE ROAD Troops of 4 Brigade Nigerian Army, Operation WABAIZIGAN, have arrested a suspected kidnapper and recovered an AK-47 rifle and ammunition during a targeted operation along the Benin–Sapele Road in Ikpoba-Okha LGA of Edo State. The suspect, identified as Olamide Oyeniyi, was arrested on 12 September 2026 at Obaretin Community by troops conducting operations to disrupt criminal activities and safeguard major transportation routes within the area. Items recovered from the suspect include one AK-47 rifle, one magazine and eight rounds of 7.62mm Special ammunition. Other items recovered are one Tecno mobile phone, two bags, one torchlight, one music box and assorted charms. NAF INVITES SHORTLISTED CANDIDATES FOR DSSC 34 ENLISTMENT INTERVIEW IN KADUNA


The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) wishes to inform the general public, particularly applicants for the Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC) 34/2025, that the list of shortlisted candidates for the DSSC 34 Selection Interview has been uploaded on the NAF Recruitment Portal. Successful candidates are hereby invited to attend the DSSC 34 Enlistment Interview, scheduled to hold at the Nigerian Air Force Base, Kaduna, from 12 January to 8 February 2026.


Candidates will be interviewed in batches, strictly in accordance with the schedule published on the NAF recruitment website: https://nafrecruitment.airforce.mil.ng. All invited candidates are strongly advised to carefully read and strictly comply with all instructions provided on the portal.Candidates must report as scheduled for their respective batches, as failure to adhere to the stated guidelines may lead to disqualification.


Additionally, applicants are encouraged to familiarise themselves with the information available on the portal, including guidance for prospective officers and airmen, as well as details of the Armed Forces of Nigeria Harmonised Terms and Conditions of Service.
