 TRAGEDY ON MAKURDI-ALIADE ROAD CRASH KILLS DOZENS OF COWS, SEVERAL INJURED  A serious accident early Monday morning has left dozens of cows dead and several people injured along Jato Daula, Makurdi-Aliade Road. The incident occurred around 5 a.m., authorities confirmed. Eyewitnesses said the accident involved a vehicle that reportedly lost control. The crash resulted in significant livestock casualties, though human injuries were also reported. Emergency responders and local authorities have urged drivers to exercise caution, especially on rural roads during early hours. The exact number of injured individuals is still being confirmed, and investigations are ongoing to determine the full extent of the accident. Residents have called for better road safety measures to prevent such incidents in the future.

 2 NEIGHBOURS ARRESTED IN ABUJA AFTER TEEN FATALLY BEATEN FOR ATTACKING MOTHER

Police in the Federal Capital Territory have arrested two men following the death of a 17-year-old boy in Byazhin, Abuja.


According to the FCT Police Command, the teenager, Chidera Benjamin, allegedly attacked his mother with a machete during a domestic dispute on February 12 around 11:45 PM.


Neighbours Cosmos Okafor, 31, and Okechukwu Wisdom, 17, reportedly intervened and in the process inflicted injuries on Chidera. He was rushed to Kubwa General Hospital but was later pronounced dead.


Investigations revealed the dispute began over alleged unauthorized transfers from the mother’s bank account to Chidera’s Opay account.


The FCT Commissioner of Police, CP Miller G. Dantawaye, has urged residents to resolve conflicts peacefully and avoid taking the law into their own hands.


The suspects remain in police custody and will be charged to court following the completion of investigations.

 How Suspected Phone Snatchers Killed Army Lieutenant In Kaduna  An army officer identified as Lieutenant IM Abubakar has reportedly been hacked to death by a gang that specialises in phone snatching and other crimes. The deceased was killed in the Unguwan Sarki area of Kaduna metropolis during the week. A popular counter-insurgency expert and security analyst in Lake Chad, Zagazola Makama disclosed this in a Twitter post. Makama described Abubakar as a talented officer.  He said, “Lt IM Abubakar(Isa) A Young Talented Army Officer Was Killed By Phone Snatchers on His Way Home In Unguwan Sarki, Kaduna. May his soul rest in peace.”
