Peter Obi’s new lies Peter Obi’s recent claims of being targeted by the government—citing an incident involving his car at the airport, which, by his own account, must have resulted from flouting parking regulations—are simply unfounded and misleading.  As a pathological and serial liar, Mr Obi is intent on dragging the government into every personal inconvenience he encounters, often resorting to exaggeration and baseless allegations. His claim that he may not be alive for the January 2027 election and that people are being pressured not to invite him to social events is nothing more than a fabricated narrative, a page from his book of lies and propaganda.  These claims lack substance and are designed to attract undue sympathy and deflect attention from his credibility deficit and the problems faced by his SPV and his adopted political association, the NDC.  King Charles and Queen Camilla Face Busy Day With Royal Wedding and Derby Plans

King Charles III and Queen Camilla could be balancing family celebrations with official royal duties next weekend.

It was confirmed on May 29 that the royal couple are expected to attend Betfred Derby Day at Epsom Downs on June 6.

The pair currently serve as joint patrons of The Jockey Club, which oversees the famous racecourse.

The appearance, however, lands on the same day as the wedding of the King’s nephew, Peter Phillips, who is set to marry Harriet Sperling.

Despite the packed schedule, both events may still fit into the day without much difficulty. The wedding ceremony is expected to take place earlier in the day at All Saints’ Church in Kemble, near Cirencester, while the Derby’s headline race is scheduled for later in the afternoon at Epsom Downs in Surrey.

Horse racing has long been closely connected to the British royal family, especially through the late Queen Elizabeth II, who served as patron of The Jockey Club for nearly seven decades before her passing in 2022.

The Derby itself remains one of Britain’s oldest and most respected sporting traditions, first taking place back in 1780. Royal attendance at the event has become part of that history over the years.

Jim Allen, general manager of Epsom Downs Racecourse, welcomed news of the King and Queen’s planned appearance, saying the team felt honored to host them for such a major occasion.

Peter Phillips and Harriet Sperling publicly confirmed their wedding date earlier this year.

According to their spokesperson, senior members of the royal family, including the King, Queen, and the Prince and Princess of Wales, had already been informed before the announcement became public.
