The 45-year-old  British citizen with Zimbabwean heritage was arrested in Kensington, Johannesburg, last night after the bodies of his wife and two children were found at their home in Bedfordshire, England, more than a week ago. SAPS national spokesperson Brigadier Athlenda Mathe says investigators are working with Interpol to establish how Tshuma entered South Africa, where he stayed while evading arrest, and whether he received assistance after arriving in the country.  Iran's new supreme leader vows revenge after father's assassination amid reported threats against Trump

Iran's new Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei vowed Saturday that revenge for the assassination of his father, former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, "will most certainly be carried out."

The statement came after Ali Khamenei's burial ceremony, which followed a week of public mourning that included repeated calls from some mourners for the death of President Donald Trump. Mojtaba Khamenei did not specifically mention Trump in his remarks.

The new supreme leader, who was seriously wounded in the attack that killed his father and has not appeared publicly since, issued the message through his Telegram channel. He pledged to avenge his father's death and those killed in recent conflicts, saying those responsible would be brought to justice.

He declared that revenge was a national demand and said those responsible would not die peacefully. Khamenei also insisted that carrying out retaliation would not depend on whether he or any other official remained alive, adding that people around the world who support his cause would each play a role in what he described as a "divine mission."

His comments came amid heightened concerns over reported threats against Trump. Earlier in the week, U.S. officials received intelligence from Israel indicating that Iranian officials had recently discussed the possibility of assassinating the U.S. president.

During Trump's return flight from Turkey on Wednesday, he switched from the new Air Force One aircraft provided by Qatar to the older presidential plane. The change was reportedly prompted by security concerns.

Late Friday, Trump responded publicly to the reported threats in a post on Truth Social. He warned that the United States had "1,000 missiles" aimed at Iran and thousands more ready to follow if Iran attempted to assassinate him. Trump also said he had ordered the U.S. military to "completely decimate and destroy all areas of Iran" for a one-year period, subject to extension, should such an attack occur. He concluded the post with the phrase, "PRAISE BE TO ALLAH!"
