 NUT Protest : Wike Warns Against Politicising Insecurity The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has warned against politicising insecurity amid protests by the Nigeria Union of Teachers, FCT wing, over the killing and abduction of school staff and children in Oyo State. Teachers stormed the FCTA Secretariat in Abuja to condemn the killing of Michael Oyedokun and to demand the release of abducted pupils and teachers from Community High School, Ahoro-Esinle in Oriire Local Government Area. The FCT minister addressed the protesters on Tuesday, saying the federal government is on its toes working to secure the rescue of the schoolchildren and their teachers. Wike urged protesters to avoid turning the tragedy into a political issue and to give security efforts time to produce results. FUEL TANKER EXPLODED IN ABUJA.

the raging inferno at Conoil            Today thursday,a tanker which caught fire as it was discharging petrol at the con oil fuel station opposite the head quarters of Nigeria petrol corporation in the central business Area in Abuja.the explosion shook buildings several kilometers away and resulted in huge fire ball that can be seen around Abuja.NNPC immediately asked its workres to evacuate their offices.the explosion shattered glasses at nearby millennium Builders plaza.it was learnt that one person was injured by the splinter from the glasses at the plaza.workers in other offices around the petrol station also ran out from their premises while others immediately moved their vehicles away.men from the federal fire service deployed several trucks to put out the fire and control it from spreading to nearby total filling station.
