TROOPS ARREST SUSPECTED KIDNAPPER, RECOVER AK-47 RIFLE ALONG BENIN–SAPELE ROAD Troops of 4 Brigade Nigerian Army, Operation WABAIZIGAN, have arrested a suspected kidnapper and recovered an AK-47 rifle and ammunition during a targeted operation along the Benin–Sapele Road in Ikpoba-Okha LGA of Edo State. The suspect, identified as Olamide Oyeniyi, was arrested on 12 September 2026 at Obaretin Community by troops conducting operations to disrupt criminal activities and safeguard major transportation routes within the area. Items recovered from the suspect include one AK-47 rifle, one magazine and eight rounds of 7.62mm Special ammunition. Other items recovered are one Tecno mobile phone, two bags, one torchlight, one music box and assorted charms. It was reported today monday that FIFA President Sepp Blatter and UEFA boss Michel Platini have been suspended for eight years from all football-related activities followiung an ethics investigation.They were found guilty of breaches surrounding a £1.3m {$2m} ''Disloyal payment'' made to Platini in 2011.The FIFA ethics committee found Batter and Platini had demonstrated an abusive execution of their positions.Platini said ''The decision was a masquerade intended to dirty his name while Sepp Blatter said ''I will fight for me and for FIFA''.Both men,continue to deny wrongdoing and intended to appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.Blatter from Swiss and 60 year old Frenchman Platini have also been fined £33,700 {$40,000} and £54,000 {$80,000} respectively.One more photo below.
