NAF INTENSIFIES AIRPOWER CAMPAIGN, STRENGTHENS AIR PRESENCE IN SOKOTO TO DENY TERRORISTS FREEDOM OF ACTION The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has intensified its airpower campaign against terrorism, banditry, kidnapping and other criminal activities across the North-West, with a strengthened air presence in Sokoto State to support ongoing joint security operations. The initiative reflects the Service’s determination to sustain pressure on hostile elements, enhance aerial surveillance and maintain the capacity for rapid response to emerging threats, while providing effective air support to ground forces operating within the Joint Operations Area. The strengthened air presence is particularly significant in the fight against asymmetric threats, where terrorists and bandits exploit difficult terrain, mobility and concealment to evade ground forces. The EFCC,today wednesday June 15,2016,arraigned Henry Chinedu Ojoko,Najuke Lucky O,Ogba Ikechukwu Patrick,Obieze Augustine D. and Obodo Franca Nbefore Justice F.N Azing of the High Court of Delta State,Asaba on a 5 count charge bordering on Conspiracy,Stealing,and Fraudulent diversion of the sum of N75,000,000 {Seventy Five Million Naira} Property of Delta State Internally Generated Revenue {IGR}.It was alleged that the principal suspect and his accomplices fraudulently diverted cash and cheques worth several millions of naira belonging to Delta State Government IGR meant to be paid into Delta State Government IGR Account and Delta State Sports Commission Cooperative Society's account which the accused persons converted to their personal use.More photos below.
