 PRESS RELEASE  FG Commends  Diaspora Healthcare Professionals' Medical Missions to Nigeria  The Federal Government has commended efforts by diaspora based Nigerian healthcare professionals to improve healthcare in Nigeria, emphasizing it's crucial support to enhance its sustainability. Dr. Iziaq Adekunle Salako Honourable Minister of State for Health & Social Welfare stated at the gala night of the just concluded Association of Nigerian Physicians in Americas (ANPA)  31st Annual Scientific Convention / 30 years anniversary celebration held at Eko Hotel, Victoria Island Lagos. Looking back over ANPAs  30 years of existence, the Minister affirmed it's diligent and unwavering commitment to conducting medical missions to Nigeria, enhancing capacity building of Nigerian-based healthcare professionals, providing medical interventions to the less privileged and, donating materials to health facilities across Nigeria.                                                                              Sorry for the initial mix up of pictures.The EFCC today Wednesday June 15,2016,arraigned Waripamo-Owei Emmanuel Dudafa and Iwejuo Joseph Nna a.k.a Taiwo A. Ebenezer and Olugbenga Isaiah} before Justice M.B Idris of the Federal High Court of Lagos State,Ikoyi on a 23 count charge bordering on concealing proceeds of crime,retaining the proceeds of crime and failing to furnish information.The first defendant,Waripamo-Owei Emmanuel Dudafa,the Senior Special Assistant of domestic/household and social events to the former President Goodluck Jonathan was alleged to have laundered ill gotten wealth to the tune of over N1.667,162,800.00 {One billion,six hundred and sixty seven million,one hundred and sixty two thousand,eight hundred Naira} while in office,through Ebiwise Resources Limited,Avalon Global Property Development Company Limited,Rotato Inter-Link Services Ltd accounts with the assistance of the second defendant,Iwejuo Joseph Nna,the account officer of the said accounts and presently a branch manager of a new generation bank.More photos below.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
