TROOPS ARREST SUSPECTED KIDNAPPER, RECOVER AK-47 RIFLE ALONG BENIN–SAPELE ROAD Troops of 4 Brigade Nigerian Army, Operation WABAIZIGAN, have arrested a suspected kidnapper and recovered an AK-47 rifle and ammunition during a targeted operation along the Benin–Sapele Road in Ikpoba-Okha LGA of Edo State. The suspect, identified as Olamide Oyeniyi, was arrested on 12 September 2026 at Obaretin Community by troops conducting operations to disrupt criminal activities and safeguard major transportation routes within the area. Items recovered from the suspect include one AK-47 rifle, one magazine and eight rounds of 7.62mm Special ammunition. Other items recovered are one Tecno mobile phone, two bags, one torchlight, one music box and assorted charms. The trial of Azibaola Robert,a cousin to former President Goodluck Jonathan,was stalled today thursday,October 6,2016 as the PW2,Olabode Farinuola was unavoidably absent in court to continue his testimony.Azibaola,his wife,Stella and their company,One Plus Holdings,are standing trial on a 7-count charge of money laundering,criminal breach of trust and corruption brought againt them by the EFCC,before Justice Nnamdi O Dimgba of the Federal High Cort sitting in Maitama,Abuja.The defendants were alleged to have diverted $40million {forty million US dollars} purportedly meant for the supply of Tactical Communication Kits for Special Forces which was transferred from the Account of the Office of the National Security Adviser,ONSA,with the Central Bank of Nigeria to the domiciliary account of their company,On Plus Holdings.One more photo below.
