Marilyn Manson's sexual assault case by former assistant reinstated under new California law A previously dismissed sexual assault case against Marilyn Manson, filed by former assistant Ashley Walters, was revived Monday in Los Angeles Superior Court under a new California law extending the statute of limitations for certain sexual abuse claims. Judge Steve Cochran granted Walters’ motion for reconsideration, vacating his December 2025 ruling that had dismissed the case and allowing it to proceed toward trial. The original suit, first filed in 2021, accused Manson, whose legal name is Brian Warner, of sexual harassment, sexual battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and wrongful termination based on her time working for him in 2010–2011. Previous attempts to move the case forward were blocked because the claims were made years after the alleged incidents, with courts initially ruling that the delayed discovery doctrine did not apply.       Governor Samuel Ortom today disclosed that he has been sent out of his present political party, All Progressives Congress, APC and is currently exploring a new option to actualise his future ambition.
The Governor stated this today at the Benue Peoples House, Makurdi while swearing in his Special Adviser on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mr. Jerome Torshimbe.
He noted that he was consulting with relevant stakeholders, stressing that he would soon make his next move known to Benue people.
Governor Ortom charged the new appointee to justify the confidence reposed in him through hardwork and commitment to duty and to imbibe the core values of his administration which include transparency, accountability, justice and equity.
The Governor stated that Mr. Torshimbe's appointment was based on his capacity to serve especially at a critical time like this, even as he charged him to reach out to all.
The Special Adviser while pledging to justify the confidence reposed in him, also promised to give his best for good governance at the third tier of government and to reposition the traditional institution in the state.He solicited the support of all to enable him succeed in his new assignment.More photos below.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
