 Court Jails Fake American, Two others in Kaduna   Justice A.A Isiaka of the Kaduna State High Court, sitting in Kaduna has convicted and sentenced a fake American,  Stephen Thomas to five years imprisonment.  He was jailed after pleading guilty to one-count charge bordering on impersonation by the Kaduna Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.   His charge reads: “That you, Stephen Thomas (a.k.a Rolanda Collins), male, sometimes in February,  2024 at Narayi Kaduna within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court fraudulently impersonated one Rolando Collins (an American citizen) on Facebook and in such assumed character, cheated one Kate Stewarton (an American citizen) the sum of $100(One Hundred USD) and you thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 308 and punishable under Section 309 of the Kaduna State Penal Code Law 2017.”   He pleaded “guilty” to the charge when it was read to him which prompted the prosecution counsel, M. AMBODE APPREHENDS 'ONE WAY' OFFENDERS AROUND AIRPORT ROAD IKEJA.{PHOTOS}

     Irked by the flagrant abuse of the Lagos State Traffic Laws, Governor Akinwunmi Ambode on Monday evening came down hard on some recalcitrant motorists who drove against traffic along the Muritala Mohammed Airport Road, Ikeja.
Returning from Abuja where he had attended the inauguration of the Presidential Campaign Council, Governor Ambode was shocked at the manner some motorists drove ‘one way’ to beat the traffic along the Air-force Base inward International Airport Road, Ikeja.
He was particularly angry that one of the offenders, an army personnel, who drove a space bus with registration number JJJ 290 AC, would choose to blatantly contravene the law.
The Governor, on sighting the vehicle, alighted from his car and reprimanded the officer for showing a bad example contrary to what the Nigeria Army is known for.
Another offender, who drove a saloon car with registration number LSR 445 ER, also got some schooling from the Governor for breaking the law regardless of the dangers involved in driving against traffic.
Governor Ambode immediately ordered for the vehicles to be impounded, while also directing that the offenders be prosecuted in line with the provisions of the Traffic Laws.More photos below.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours. In a letter drafted by her lawyers, Deji Adeyanju and Co, Namtira asked the school authorities to immediately investigate and pronounce the stiffest punishments in the student’s rule book on Ms.Maryam Hassan, Miss Faliya, and nine other students who bullied her.
