 NUT Protest : Wike Warns Against Politicising Insecurity The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has warned against politicising insecurity amid protests by the Nigeria Union of Teachers, FCT wing, over the killing and abduction of school staff and children in Oyo State. Teachers stormed the FCTA Secretariat in Abuja to condemn the killing of Michael Oyedokun and to demand the release of abducted pupils and teachers from Community High School, Ahoro-Esinle in Oriire Local Government Area. The FCT minister addressed the protesters on Tuesday, saying the federal government is on its toes working to secure the rescue of the schoolchildren and their teachers. Wike urged protesters to avoid turning the tragedy into a political issue and to give security efforts time to produce results. FINAL YEAR STUDENT SHOT DEAD YESTERDAY IMMEDIATELY AFTER HIS FINAL YEAR EXAMINATION IN CROSS RIVERS.{GRAPHIC PHOTOS}.

     A Final year student of the Cross Rivers University of Technology CRUTECH, was shot dead yesterday morning at about 11.30am shortly after he finished his final year first semester examination.
He was said to have been stepping out of the examination hall when he was accosted by some fierce looking men who shot him at close range. The men fled the scene immediately.
Students of the institution believe it is a cult-related murder.

The remains of the deceased has been taken to the state mortuary. According to another source ''It was a shocking moment when a final year student of the Cross Rivers University of Technology (CRUTECH) was shot dead Monday morning at about 11.30am shortly after he finished his final year first semester examination.
The Final year Engineering student has been identified as James Chia. He was shot to death by suspected cultists belonging to a rival group on Monday afternoon.
James was reportedly a popular student known as ‘Jay’ Real on Facebook. He hailed from Abi Local Government, but grew up in Ogoja, Cross River.He was a 500-level student of Engineering in the Cross River University of Technology, CRUTECH, Calabar Campus.More photos below.
