 TROOPS ARREST SUSPECTED KIDNAPPER, RECOVER AK-47 RIFLE ALONG BENIN–SAPELE ROAD Troops of 4 Brigade Nigerian Army, Operation WABAIZIGAN, have arrested a suspected kidnapper and recovered an AK-47 rifle and ammunition during a targeted operation along the Benin–Sapele Road in Ikpoba-Okha LGA of Edo State. The suspect, identified as Olamide Oyeniyi, was arrested on 12 September 2026 at Obaretin Community by troops conducting operations to disrupt criminal activities and safeguard major transportation routes within the area. Items recovered from the suspect include one AK-47 rifle, one magazine and eight rounds of 7.62mm Special ammunition. Other items recovered are one Tecno mobile phone, two bags, one torchlight, one music box and assorted charms. A JOURNALIST SLUMPED AND DIED WHILE DANCING AT A SCHOOL REUNION PARTY IN EDO STATE.{PHOTOS}.

     Pandemonium broke at the St Maria Goretti Reunion Party in Edo State last Friday July 12th when journalist, Osarugue Eunice Egbobawaye, who was at the school's 60th anniversary party, slumped and died while dancing.

She was said to have been dancing in the school hall then slumped on a chair.

Eunice was said to be life of the party as she was proudly showing off her dance moves.

However after some minutes, people around her presumed it was tiredness while some noticed she was not moving nor responding to her name when she was called upon.

Doctors were alerted and checked her but no peripheral pulses were palpated.

She was then rushed to the hospital where she was certified dead on arrival.More photos below.
