 Anambra Govt Warns Against Purchase of Encroached Land at Trans-Nkissi By MaryAnn Chukwuma The Anambra State Ministry of Lands has warned members of the public against purchasing plots at TransNkissi Phase 1, behind the Federal Government Girls College, Onitsha, from persons claiming ownership on behalf of the Umuosodi family of Onitsha. The warning was contained in a public notice dated Sept. 28, 2026, with Ref. No. PS/ML/2026/CR/VOL.II/028 and signed by the Permanent Secretary, Mrs Nkeiru Mokwe, for the Commissioner. According to the notice, the Ministry became aware that persons alleged to be members of the Umuosodi family had invaded and commenced clearing portions of the land with the intention of selling them to unsuspecting members of the public. It said compensatory plots had been allocated to the family and other families in Onitsha before the current administration. FIRS DTA Fraud: EFCC Secures Interim Forfeiture of N104m Properties 

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on February 16, 2022 secured the interim forfeiture of two landed properties worth over N104m belonging to Aminu Side Garunbabba, a staff of Federal Inland Revenue Service, FIRS.
Justice Obiora Egwuatu of the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, granted the order while ruling on the application by counsel to the EFCC, Ekele Iheanacho brought pursuant to Section 17 of the Advance Fee Fraud and other Fraud Related Offences Act, 2006.
The Court directed that the interim forfeitureOrder be published in Thisday and Punch Newspapers, alerting anyone with interest in the properties to show cause why they should not be forfeited to the Federal Government of Nigeria.
The respondent between 2017 and 2018, allegedly received the sum of N341, 971,950 (Three Hundred and Forty One Million Nine Hundred and seventy one Thousand, Nine Hundred and Fifty Naira) from the FIRS as Duty Tour Allowance for travels that were no made and diverted the proceeds to acquire the forfeited properties.
The properties include a four bedroom Terrace Maisonatte with BQ at Barumark Groove Estate, Plot 667 Cadastral Zone Bo3, Wuye District, Abuja purchased at the rate of N65,000,000.00 (Sixty Five Million Naira)
The other property, bought for N39, 000,000.00 (Thirty Nine Million Naira, is situated at No. 5 Lodge Road, Kano State.  
Justice Egwatu adjourned till March 23, 2022 for consideration of the motion for final forfeiture of the properties.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
