 Trump administration halts border wall well drilling in New Mexico after ranchers raise water concerns  The Trump administration has ordered contractors building a border wall in New Mexico to stop drilling new wells after ranchers raised concerns that groundwater pumping for construction could worsen drought conditions and threaten their livestock. The move comes as crews work to expand border barriers across four states as part of President Donald Trump’s immigration agenda. The project has received billions in federal funding and has faced criticism from residents, environmental groups and local officials over various impacts. U.S. Customs and Border Protection, which oversees construction, has said water is needed for concrete production, road construction and controlling dust. APGA Begins Distribution of Certificates of Return To Candidates



The All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA has commenced distribution of Certificates of return to its candidates for National Assembly.

The distribution happening at the National Secretariat of the party in Abuja saw elated candidates from different parts of the country coming to pick up their certificates. 

In an Interview with the ABS, some of the candidates including Honourable Chris Azubogu, who is vying for the Anambra South Senatorial Seat, Sir Eric Eze vying to represent Orumba North and South in the Federal House of Representatives, Alex Ikwueche vying for Aba North and South Federal Constituency among others harped on the need for the electorate to choose the candidate that will represent them well.

They reminded them that voting for the highest bidder would be akin to mortgaging their future and that of their children.

The distribution of Certificates of return which started yesterday, continues today and date for that of Governorship and House of Assembly candidates will follow at a later date.
