 TROOPS ARREST SUSPECTED KIDNAPPER, RECOVER AK-47 RIFLE ALONG BENIN–SAPELE ROAD Troops of 4 Brigade Nigerian Army, Operation WABAIZIGAN, have arrested a suspected kidnapper and recovered an AK-47 rifle and ammunition during a targeted operation along the Benin–Sapele Road in Ikpoba-Okha LGA of Edo State. The suspect, identified as Olamide Oyeniyi, was arrested on 12 September 2026 at Obaretin Community by troops conducting operations to disrupt criminal activities and safeguard major transportation routes within the area. Items recovered from the suspect include one AK-47 rifle, one magazine and eight rounds of 7.62mm Special ammunition. Other items recovered are one Tecno mobile phone, two bags, one torchlight, one music box and assorted charms. A STATE IN THE U. S, PASSED A BILL WHICH PROVIDES CASTRATION AS AN OPTION TO SEX CRIMES AGAINST MINORS. (PHOTO).

 Louisiana legislators pass a bill which would give judges the option of surgical castration for S/O charged with crimes against children under 13.


The Legislature in Louisiana passed a bill on Monday which would provide the option of surgical castration to offenders of aggravated sex crimes against minors.

If Governor Jeff Landry signs the bill into law, Louisiana will be the first state to have such a law. 


There are some states such as Texas, Florida and California which allow for chemical castration. However this new law in Louisiana, if passed, opens up a whole new era in punishments within the criminal justice system. 


The bill received overwhelming support from both Louisiana's House of Representatives and Senate therefore it isn't hard to guess what the governor will do when it comes across his desk.
