 President Trump awarded inaugural FIFA Peace Prize at World Cup draw in Washington  Gianni Infantino, the FIFA President presented the honour onstage at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts on Friday, saying Trump had been selected “in recognition of his exceptional and extraordinary actions to promote peace and unity around the world”. “This is your prize, this is your peace prize,” Infantino said, after Trump took the stage to accept the trophy, a medal and certificate. “There is also a beautiful medal for you that you can wear everywhere you want to go.”   FIFA says the prize is for “individuals who help unite people in peace through unwavering commitment and special actions”.  Accepting the award, Trump called it “one of the great honours of my life”, before claiming to have “saved millions and millions of lives – the Congo is an example, over 10 million people killed and it was heading for another 10 million very quickly.  Fatal Bulletproof Charm Testing: 19-Year-Old Native Doctor Shoots Client Dead in Edo


The Edo State Police Command has apprehended a 19-year-old self-proclaimed native doctor following the death of his client during an attempt to test a bulletproof charm.


The incident occurred on August 20, 2024, in Onumu Community, Akoko-Edo Local Government Area of Edo State.


According to a statement released on Monday by the State Police Command spokesperson, SP Moses Yamu, the victim, identified as Alex Ezekiel, had approached the native doctor to obtain a charm purportedly capable of protecting against gunshots and cutlass attacks.


After preparing the charm, the native doctor attempted to demonstrate its effectiveness by shooting Ezekiel.


However, the charm failed, and Ezekiel sustained fatal injuries. Despite being rushed to Ifejola Hospital in Igarra, the victim was pronounced dead by a medical doctor.


Yamu confirmed that the suspect has been taken into custody and will be prosecuted once the investigation is concluded.


“The suspect will face prosecution as soon as the investigation is concluded,” the police spokesperson stated.
