 Legendary actor Manoj Kumar dies at 87: ‘Roti Kapada Aur Makaan’ director breathes his last in Mumbai Manoj Kumar, the Bollywood actor and filmmaker, renowned for his patriotic films, passed away at the age of 87 at Mumbai's Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital. The cause of his death was identified as cardiogenic shock due to acute myocardial infarction, according to medical reports. The medical reports confirmed that apart from a severe heart attack that took away his life, Manoj had been battling decompensated liver cirrhosis for the past few months, ANI reported. Following deteriorating health condition, he was admitted to the hospital on February 21, 2025. Popularly known as ‘Bharat Kumar,’ Manoj Kumar was an exceptional director and actor who was honoured with National Film Award.  President Paul Biya Celebrates 42 Years in Power Today, November 6✊🇨🇲👑


Paul Biya, now 91, has been president of Cameroon for 42 years, making him the world’s longest-serving leader. His rule, which started on November 6, 1982, has experienced a firm grip on power, backed by loyal officials in key roles. Originally a prime minister, he became Cameroon’s second head of state after independence from France in 1960.


Over the years, he has been nicknamed “Popol” and “The Sphinx” for his elusive, strategic style. Despite economic challenges and social issues, he has maintained control with allies in top positions, from the National Assembly to the military.


In 2018, he won a seventh term, though the election faced criticism for low turnout and accusations of fraud. Opposition figures like Maurice Kamto, who contested the results, faced imprisonment. 


Cameroon’s Anglophone regions have also seen turmoil. Calls for more regional autonomy turned into a movement for independence, leading to violent clashes that have displaced over a million people.


Paul Biya rarely appears in public, preferring carefully edited TV addresses. He often travels abroad, with reports revealing millions spent on overseas trips. His personal life is also noted for his marriage to Chantal Biya, known for her striking hairstyles, nearly 40 years his junior.


However, despite numerous controversy, Biya remains in power, navigating a complex political landscape with little visible change.


Rumours say he has plans for the next presidential elections which will take place in 2025.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
