 New Head of Service Urges Anambra Civil Servants to Embrace Efficiency and Accountability ‎ ‎By Chizoba Njaka  ‎ ‎The newly appointed Head of Service in Anambra State, Ngozi Anuli Iwouno, has called on civil servants to shift towards efficiency and accountability, promising improvements in welfare.  ‎ ‎Addressing staff at the Jerome Udoji Secretariat Complex in Awka, Iwouno outlined her vision for a professional, merit-based, and citizen-centered service that aligns with Governor Chukwuma Soludo's goals. ‎ ‎Iwouno emphasized that her mission is not just a statement, but a call to action, demanding sincerity and commitment from all workers. Long waits in traffic, often with no prior warning, have become a regular disruption in many cities, leaving commuters stranded and daily routines in disarray.


A recent incident in Hyderabad highlighted this sentiment vividly. When the Chief Minister’s convoy brought traffic to a standstill, exasperated commuters chose to express their discontent in a unique way. Drivers began honking together in unison, creating a wave of sound that served as a symbolic protest against the VIP movement’s disruption to public life.


The unusual yet impactful demonstration quickly gained attention, with a video of the incident going viral on social media. Many users praised the commuters for their bold yet peaceful stand, calling it a reflection of the public’s mounting frustration with such practices.

 How Suspected Phone Snatchers Killed Army Lieutenant In Kaduna  An army officer identified as Lieutenant IM Abubakar has reportedly been hacked to death by a gang that specialises in phone snatching and other crimes. The deceased was killed in the Unguwan Sarki area of Kaduna metropolis during the week. A popular counter-insurgency expert and security analyst in Lake Chad, Zagazola Makama disclosed this in a Twitter post. Makama described Abubakar as a talented officer.  He said, “Lt IM Abubakar(Isa) A Young Talented Army Officer Was Killed By Phone Snatchers on His Way Home In Unguwan Sarki, Kaduna. May his soul rest in peace.”
