 Trial begins of Central African ex-president Bozize over war crimes A UN-backed court in the the Central African Republic will on Tuesday begin the trial in absentia of former president Francois Bozize, over crimes against humanity committed between 2009 and 2013. The alleged crimes committed by members of Bozize's security forces include murder, enforced disappearance, torture and rape. Bozize, 79, who seized power in a 2003 coup before being overthrown 10 years later by rebels, has been living in exile in Guinea-Bissau since March 2023. But three of his former senior military officers, Eugene Barret Ngaikosset, Vianney Semndiro and Firmin Junior Danboy, are all in pre-trial detention in the Central African Republic. Crimes against humanity The case will be heard by the Special Criminal Court (SCC), a hybrid jurisdiction located in the capital Bangui with Central African and foreign judges.  Oasis fan dies after fall during concert at Wembley Stadium in London 

A man died after falling at London’s Wembley Stadium during an Oasis concert on Saturday night, officials confirmed.

A spokesperson for Wembley Stadium said that medics, the London Ambulance Service, and police responded to a concertgoer found with injuries consistent with a fall. Despite their efforts, the fan sadly passed away. The statement expressed condolences to the victim’s family, who have been informed and are receiving support from specially trained officers. Authorities have asked anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward. The concert continued as planned.

The Metropolitan Police identified the victim as a man in his 40s. They noted the stadium was crowded, and many people likely saw the incident or may have recorded it on their phones.

Brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher are currently touring Europe as part of Oasis’s reunion tour, their first together in 16 years. They are scheduled to continue with shows across North America, Asia, Australia, and South America.

Oasis released a statement expressing their shock and sadness over the tragic death, offering sincere condolences to the family and friends affected by the loss.
