 Judge rejects Amy Winehouse's father’s lawsuit over sale of singer’s personal items  A London judge has ruled against Mitch Winehouse in a legal dispute over the sale of personal belongings once owned by his late daughter, singer Amy Winehouse. Mitch Winehouse, who serves as the administrator of the singer’s estate, brought the case against Naomi Parry and Catriona Gourlay, alleging they improperly profited from the sale of her memorabilia. He claimed the pair had no right to sell the items and did so without his knowledge, arguing they should not have benefited from the auctions. Amy Winehouse died in 2011 at the age of 27 from alcohol poisoning at her home in London, bringing an end to a career that made her one of the most recognizable voices of her generation. The dispute centered on roughly 150 personal items, including clothing, accessories, and stage pieces such as dresses, shoes, scarves, earrings, and handbags.  Suspect Arrested for Brutal Murder in Tjibeng Village


A 40-year-old man is expected to appear before the Mecklenburg Magistrate’s Court in connection with the murder of a 37-year-old man at Tjibeng village during the early hours of Saturday, 30 August 2025.


Police were alerted around 02:30 about a man found lying unconscious on the street. Upon arrival, officers discovered the victim in a pool of blood with severe head injuries. He was wearing a black T-shirt, blue trousers, and white takkies. Several stones were also found next to the body, suggesting he was stoned to death.


Emergency Medical Services (EMS) were summoned and certified the victim dead at the scene.


An immediate manhunt was launched, and the suspect was apprehended later the same morning at about 07:30 in the same village.


The motive behind the attack is still under investigation. Police indicated that the deceased, who is alleged to have been a security officer, will be identified in due course.
