 Anambra Govt Warns Against Purchase of Encroached Land at Trans-Nkissi By MaryAnn Chukwuma The Anambra State Ministry of Lands has warned members of the public against purchasing plots at TransNkissi Phase 1, behind the Federal Government Girls College, Onitsha, from persons claiming ownership on behalf of the Umuosodi family of Onitsha. The warning was contained in a public notice dated Sept. 28, 2026, with Ref. No. PS/ML/2026/CR/VOL.II/028 and signed by the Permanent Secretary, Mrs Nkeiru Mokwe, for the Commissioner. According to the notice, the Ministry became aware that persons alleged to be members of the Umuosodi family had invaded and commenced clearing portions of the land with the intention of selling them to unsuspecting members of the public. It said compensatory plots had been allocated to the family and other families in Onitsha before the current administration.  Suspect Arrested for Brutal Murder in Tjibeng Village


A 40-year-old man is expected to appear before the Mecklenburg Magistrate’s Court in connection with the murder of a 37-year-old man at Tjibeng village during the early hours of Saturday, 30 August 2025.


Police were alerted around 02:30 about a man found lying unconscious on the street. Upon arrival, officers discovered the victim in a pool of blood with severe head injuries. He was wearing a black T-shirt, blue trousers, and white takkies. Several stones were also found next to the body, suggesting he was stoned to death.


Emergency Medical Services (EMS) were summoned and certified the victim dead at the scene.


An immediate manhunt was launched, and the suspect was apprehended later the same morning at about 07:30 in the same village.


The motive behind the attack is still under investigation. Police indicated that the deceased, who is alleged to have been a security officer, will be identified in due course.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
