 TROOPS ARREST SUSPECTED KIDNAPPER, RECOVER AK-47 RIFLE ALONG BENIN–SAPELE ROAD Troops of 4 Brigade Nigerian Army, Operation WABAIZIGAN, have arrested a suspected kidnapper and recovered an AK-47 rifle and ammunition during a targeted operation along the Benin–Sapele Road in Ikpoba-Okha LGA of Edo State. The suspect, identified as Olamide Oyeniyi, was arrested on 12 September 2026 at Obaretin Community by troops conducting operations to disrupt criminal activities and safeguard major transportation routes within the area. Items recovered from the suspect include one AK-47 rifle, one magazine and eight rounds of 7.62mm Special ammunition. Other items recovered are one Tecno mobile phone, two bags, one torchlight, one music box and assorted charms. AN OKLAHOMA GRANDMOTHER DIDN'T HESITATE WHEN SHE SAW HER GRANDKIDS STRUGGLING, GIVING HER LIFE, TO SAVE THEIR LIVES. (PHOTO).

 An Oklahoma grandmother didn't hesitate when she saw her grandkids struggling, giving her life, to save their lives. 


53-year-old Robecca Garrett was spending an enjoyable afternoon with her grandchildren at Lake Eufaula on Sunday, March 23rd, when things went horribly wrong.


Around 3:10 p.m. Robecca noticed her 8-year-old and 10-year-old grandchildren had gone into the lake and were struggling in the water at the 9 South Swim Area of the lake.


Reports indicate the water temperature of the water was 53 degrees that day. However, Robecca never had a second thought as she went headlong into the cold waters.  


Thanks to Robecca's selfless act, both grandchildren were soon safe, but Robecca was in serious trouble. After being underwater for an undetermined amount of time, Robecca was pulled from the water by two bystanders. 


Robecca was rushed by ambulance to McAlester Regional Hospital where she was pronounced deceased upon arrival. 


Robecca gave her all when it counted most and is the perfect example of unconditional love. 


I believe a statement in the GoFundMe organized to help with funeral costs sums it up best. "Her selflessness and courage are a testament to the kind of person she was, always putting her family first, no matter the cost".
