 OPERATION ENDURING PEACE INTENSIFIES SECURITY MEASURES TO CURB ESCALATION OF TENSIONS WITHIN JOS METROPOLIS In a proactive move to prevent further escalation of the ongoing crisis in Jos North, troops of Operation ENDURING PEACE, initiated a comprehensive stop-and-search exercise across the Jos metropolis on Friday. This strategic intervention is part of a broader mandate to restore absolute normalcy and ensure the safety of lives and property within the State. ​The heightened security presence yielded immediate results as troops successfully intercepted and arrested 2 suspects as well as recovered one fabricated AK-47 rifle along with four rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition and one pump action with a cutlass.  PRESIDENT TINUBU SALUTES RENOWNED EDUCATIONIST DENNIS OKORO AT 90


President Bola Ahmed Tinubu extends warm congratulations to a distinguished educationist and pioneer member of the Universal Primary Education (UPE) programme, Dennis Okoro, on his 90th birthday. 


A statement by Bayo Onaunuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy commends the celebrant's remarkable life, defined by a commitment to service, knowledge, dedication, and enduring contributions to advancing education in Nigeria.


It notes that the legacy of the celebrant has  shaped institutions, strengthened particularly his pivotal role in the implementation of Universal Primary Education, giving generations of pupils access to basic foundational knowledge.


The President maintains that At 90, his footprints continue to inspire educators, policymakers, and citizens alike, serving as a shining example of patriotism and selfless service for younger generations to emulate.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive. We have approached Turkey for assistance.” The President, however, stated that the delays were affecting the public’s perception of the administration’s commitment to addressing the security challenges.
