Nigeria's First Lady Oluremi Tinubu has flagged off the National Community Food Bank programme in Anambra State, marking the zonal launch of the campaign in the South-East zone.
Joined by Anambra State governor, Prof Charles Soludo, the First Lady inaugurated the food bank at Amawbia Primary Healthcare Centre, Awka , as part of ongoing efforts to promote child nutrition with the provision of bio-fortified food items to pregnant women, lactating mothers and children under the age of six across the country.
As part of her one day working visit to the state, the First Lady also inaugurated a new RHI/TETFUND ICT Experience Centre at the Federal Polytechnic, Oko to further push the frontiers of digital learning and opportunities in the country.
She also paid homage to the state traditional rulers council, applauding their support for the federal government.
She assured them that the difficult reforms embarked upon by the Bola Tinubu administration is already bearing fruits, evidents in the infrastructural development seen around the state.
