  Ford Motor Co  (F.N)  is recalling nearly 617,00 Explorer sport utility vehicles in the United States at the request of regulators because retention pins could loosen and allow roof rail covers to detach from the vehicle. The recall covers 2016 through 2019 model year vehicles. Dealers will install push-pins and replace any damaged rail clips and roof rail covers, as necessary. The second largest U.S. automaker said in documents posted Sunday the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration in April had requested Ford conduct a safety recall after first inquiring about the issue in early 2020 following 11 reports of roof rail cover detachment. Ford in November approved a onetime repair extended coverage action for 10 years or 150,000 miles to address the issue.One more photo below.

  Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, at the weekend busted an online drug trafficking cartel that sells drugged cookies, cakes, brownies and all sorts of illicit substances to residents of Abuja and beyond, using the cyber space as its platform. As a result, five mem bers of the organised drug criminal group were arrested during sting operations carried out between Friday 7 th  May and Saturday 8 th  May, 2021 by officers of the FCT Command of the Agency during which different brands of illicit drugs were recovered from them. The nabbed drug dealers include Queen Nvene, Collins Ozoemena, Samson Peter, Chika Nvene, and Habila Musa.   The Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has confirmed the appointment of the Acting Head of the Lagos Fire and Rescue Service, Mrs Margaret Adeseye. The confirmation as substantive Director was contained in a letter signed by the Head of Service (HOS), Mr. Hakeem Muri- Okunola, on Friday.
