 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country. NO RIFT BETWEEN DIEZIANI ALISON AND ANDREW YAKUBU-NNPC.

              According to a national news paper,the Nigerian Petroleum Corporation {NNPC} has said that their is no rift between the Minister of Petroleum Resources,Mrs Dieziani Alison Madueke,and the Group Managing Director of  NNPC, Mr Andrew Yakubu.The clarification was contained in a statement issued on Sunday by the Group General Manager,Public Affairs Division of NNPC,Mr Ohi Alegbe.The statement said the Minister and GMD were in harmonious working relationship and dismissed insinuations of a frosty relationship between the two.It alsi denied that the minister was doing everything to thwart the proposed investigation into the alleged N10billion purportedly spent on the charter of jets by the corporation.The statement said further that the minister and corporation were putting together all the documents that the National Assembly requested for in the matter and added that at the end of the probe minister and corporation would be vindicated.It also said that all agencies in the ministry were working in concert with other key downstream operators to ensure the realization of the zero fuel ques aspiration of the minister.
