Total chaos in France, police flee when hundreds of agitated school kids advanced, despite over 5,000 arrests. These high school kids are protesting over France government raising education budget by 1.7% (€1.2bn), which is below inflation rate of 3.4%. Doctors urged men with heart disease to avoid strenuous sex, self-medication for erectile dysfunction Men living with heart disease — particularly those with abnormal heart rhythms — should avoid rigorous sexual activity because the physical exertion can place dangerous extra stress on the heart, cardiologists have warned. The caution comes as the world marked World Heart Day on September 29 under the World Heart Federation’s 2026 campaign theme “Don’t Miss a Beat,” which emphasises early recognition of cardiovascular disease signs and symptoms. Cardiovascular diseases remain the leading cause of death globally. The World Health Organisation estimated that 19.8 million people died from these conditions in 2022, accounting for about 32 per cent of all deaths worldwide. In Nigeria, the WHO reported that 19.1 million adults aged 30 to 79 had hypertension in 2019, while cardiovascular diseases caused 147,000 deaths that year.  Boat Mishap; BNSG Suspends Buruku Boat Union, Arrests Operator Over Mishap. The Benue State Government has suspended the Buruku crossing point branch of the Nigeria Union of Maritime Workers (NUMW) following Saturday’s boat mishap in which several passengers remain unaccounted for despite the rescue of others. A statement by the Commissioner for Marine and Blue Economy, Denis Ter Iyaghigba, ordered the immediate suspension of the union after paying an on-the-spot assessment visit to the scene of the accident. The Commissioner also ordered the suspension of the line operator and the arrest and detention of the boat skipper involved in the incident. The statement further pointed out that an inter-ministerial committee to investigate and establish the immediate, remote and underlying cause of the mishap is being constituted as the ministry is already working with the local divers to intensify the search and rescue of victims.
