 A priest in Anambra State wedded a couple yesterday, despite disputes with the bride’s father In a video circulating online, the Reverend Father narrated that The father of the bride who is from Nteje had insisted that the wedding should not take place unless his daughter swøre never to associate with his mother whom he has a quarrel with. The conflict arose from past marriage issues between the father and her mother. Before the wedding, the father repeatedly met with the priest, warning that he had already taken the bride's mother to a deity and that the girl must follow him to the shrine to appease that deity before the marriage can go on. For peace to prevail, the priest advised the couple to comply with all the father’s requests so the wedding could proceed, the priest even donated some of the items that the brides father told her to bring to use in appeasing the deity. REEVA STEENKAMP'S PARENTS,ACCUSED OSCAR PISTORIUS OF KILLING THEIR DAUGHTER DELIBERATELY.

                           The late Reeva Steenkamp's parent accused Oscar Pistorius of shutting their daughter dead deliberately.It was the first time Steenkamp's parents have spoken out against the court's verdict.28 years Oscar Pistorius was found guilty last year September of culpable homicide,the equivalent of manslaughter,after Judge Thokozile Masipa said state Prosecutors had failed to prove that Oscar Pistorius had shown intent to kill.The state argued throughout the six month trail that Pistorius had deliberately killed Steenkamp when he fired four rounds through a locked toilet door where she was hiding after a row.Pistorious says he believed an intruder was inside the toilet cubicle.Prosecutors filed an appeal last week,asking for the verdict to be changed to murder.They argued Pistorius must have known when he fired that the person behind the door could be killed,even if he did not know it was Steenkamp.The appeal hearing is due to start in November.Reeva's father Barry Steenkamp,spoke to an Australia TV station that ''What actually came out in court,is not the truth.More photos below.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive. We have approached Turkey for assistance.” The President, however, stated that the delays were affecting the public’s perception of the administration’s commitment to addressing the security challenges.
