 Texas man arrested with 75 pounds of marijuana in luggage while flying to London, police say A Texas man was arrested at Miami International Airport after authorities found 75 pounds of marijuana in his luggage before he could board a flight to London. Harrison O’Neill Tiernan, 23, from Austin, was charged with cannabis trafficking. He was traveling to Heathrow Airport and had checked two suitcases for his British Airways flight. Inspectors discovered 65 vacuum-sealed packages containing a green, leafy substance later confirmed to be marijuana. U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers stopped Tiernan while he attempted to board the flight, and he acknowledged that the bags were his. Authorities noted the inspections were part of broader efforts at the airport due to high outbound narcotics activity. In total, Tiernan was carrying 34.01 kilograms, or 74.98 pounds, of marijuana. Image result for telecom mast                        According to PM News,two persons,a 16 year old girl and 45 year old local football coach are said to have died in the Nkpolu-Orowuoroku area in Mile 3 in Port Harcourt when a telecommunication mast and billboard fell on them during an hour long rain accompanied with thunderstorms.The female victim whose immediate identity remains unknown was said to have been under a giant umbrella assisting her mother to sell her wares when the mast suddenly collapse on a giant billboard and fell on the girl who died immediately.According tto a witness,''We were about to start football practice when rain started falling with heavy wind.Suddenly,the telecommunication mast fell on a billboard which fell on her.A pole also fell on the football coach''.The mother of the girl who was in a state of shock said ''We are selling at Nkolu here.My daughter was helping me to sell when suddenly the rain started falling with heavy breeze which now fell the mast and the billboard that collapsed on my daughter''.The River State government through the Rivers State Signage and Outdoor Advertising Agency has warned that it will prosecute any outdoor advertising billboards in the state.The Acting Chairman of the Outdoor Advertising Agency,Chukwudi Dimkpa,said this during the inspection of the outdoor advert billboard and the telecoms mast that collapsed.Dimkpa attributed the collapse to lack of maintenance of the billboard and the use of substandard materials for their billboards.He said the rain of yesterday exposed the substandard nature of the billboards erected by the outboard advertising agencies in the state.He said that the agency will start the full implementation of the outdoor advertising law in the state to checkmate excesses of advertising agencies.
