 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken. NIGERIAN GOVERNMENT PARTNERS WITH NIGER, FRANCE AND UNITED KINGDOM ON TACKLING CROSS BORDER CRIMES.#PRESS RELEASE.

      Nigerian government has entered into a new partnership with the governments of Niger, France and the United Kingdom on tackling cross border crimes.
Making the disclosure today in Abuja, the Honourable Minister of Interior, Lt General (Rtd), Abdulrahman Bello Dambazau, said the proposal was a fallout of a sideline meeting of the four countries at the Regional Conference on Anti-human Trafficking/Smuggling of Migrants held in Niamey, in Niger Republic on June 18 & 19, 2018.
The Interior Minister said the partnership was initiated by the United Kingdom and France to strengthen collaboration with Nigeria and Niger Republic in the area of border management, intelligence sharing and legal cooperation.Gen Damabazau added that the partnership, which seeks to strengthen cooperation among security agencies of the four countries in combating human trafficking, drugs peddling, illicit arms proliferation and terrorism is expected to deliver on its objectives within the duration of 12-36 months.
