 Kwara Govt donates 150 off-road motorcycles to Nigerian Army •LGAs acquire 320 motorcycles to boost vigilantes' security operations  In a bid to further strengthen security operations and maintain peace across Kwara State, His Excellency Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq-led Kwara State Government has donated 150 off-road motorcycles to the Nigerian Army. The motorcycles are expected to enhance troops' mobility and effectiveness, particularly in rugged terrains such as forests, where non-state actors may be hiding with intent to destabilise the peaceful atmosphere of the state. NO POLICE PERSONNEL GOT ANY PAYMENT OF N50,000.00 FROM THE OSUN STATE GOVERNOR, OGBENI RAUF AREGBESOLA OR FROM ANY OTHER POLITICIAN OR POLITICAL PARTY AS PEDDLED ON ONE “OSUN PEOPLE’S CHAT FORUM”
• No Police personnel received any money from the Governor of Osun State
The attention of the Nigeria Police Force has been drawn to a rumour peddled on one “Osun People’s Chat Forum” titled “Aregbesola’s APC just credited the accounts of Policemen and other security agencies serving in Osun with N50,000.00 each”
2. The Force wishes to categorically state that the allegation is untrue, a falsehood, unfounded and a mischievous attempt to cast aspersions on the integrity of the Force and the robust security arrangement being implemented to ensure a secured environment for a credible election coming up on September 22, 2018 in Osun State.
3. Police personnel deployed for the Governorship Election in Osun State are already receiving their election duty allowance from the Force Headquarters as directed by the Inspector General of Police and not from any politician.
4. Members of the public are implored to disregard and discountenance the rumour in its entirety.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up. The Appellant is an actor. He acted in a script that he was invited to act by his colleague (PW1), Damilola Adekoya,” he said.
