 NCoS Debunks Claims of Illegal Detention of Jonathan’s Domestic Staff at Okaka Centre The Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) Bayelsa State Command has refuted allegations spread across social media platforms claiming the illegal detention of 15 domestic staff members of former President Goodluck Jonathan and his wife, Dame Patience Jonathan, at the Medium Security Custodial Centre in Okaka. In a statement released by ASC I G.T. Isari, the Public Relations Officer of the Command, the NCoS described the circulating reports as "false and misleading." These reports alleged that the staff members were detained without trial since 2019 on charges of theft and that there was a secretive meeting involving Dame Patience Jonathan and senior correctional officials in Bayelsa. “These statements are unfounded and are being spread to tarnish the image of the Nigerian Correctional Service,” Isari stated. I give my wife N1m monthly for feeding--- Pastor Ibiyeomie 

Pastor David Ibiyeomie has caused a frenzy on social media after exposing the amount he gives his wife N1m monthly for only feeding.

The pastor made the disclosure during a recent sermon while advising married women on the need to be prudent with the money given to them.

Pastor David Ibiyeomie, the General Overseer of Salvation Ministries stated that he used to give his wife N600k for feeding every month and N500k to N600k for every service.

However, he later increased the feeding amount to N1 million per month, while noting the size of his house and his large family.

“I used to give my wife N600k for feeding a month, then I use to give every service N500 to 600k per service when I was giving her N600k per month.

“Then I shifted to N1 million per month, my house is big. All women who are not prudent, please be prudent. Don’t tell me your husband is rich so you waste money. If with all the wealth I have my wife can use 1 million.”

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
