 Gov Uba Sani Announces Plan For Nigeria’s largest Inter-state Bus Terminal In Kaduna Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has unveiled plans to construct what he described as the largest inter-state bus terminal in Nigeria, both in scale and supporting infrastructure. The governor made the announcement on Sunday during the groundbreaking ceremony for the project, which will be located on a 20-hectare site along the Eastern Bypass in Chikun Local Government Area of the state. According to him, the ultra-modern facility will operate as a dual terminal capable of accommodating over 5,000 vehicles. It will be equipped with intelligent traffic management systems, advanced surveillance infrastructure, escalators and elevators to ensure easy access for all users, including the elderly and persons with disabilities. THE KANO STATE POLICE COMMAND HAS ARRESTED THREE PRINCIPAL SUSPECTS FOR THE GRUESOME MURDER OF A HOUSEWIFE AND HER SIX CHILDREN.(PHOTO).

 The Kano State Police Command has arrested three principal suspects for the gruesome murder of a housewife and her six children.


The incident occurred in Dorayi Chiranchi Quarters on Saturday, January 17, 2025.


The victims, Fatima Abubakar, 35, and her children, Maimuna, 17, Aisha, 16, Bashir, 13, Abubakar, 10, Faruk, 7, and Abdulsalam, barely one and half years old, were attacked with dangerous weapons after hoodlums broke into their residence. 


The spokesperson of the command, CSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, who disclosed this in a statement on Sunday, said the suspects identified as Umar Auwalu, Isyaku Yakubu, and Yakubu Abdulaziz, were arrested during a sting operation that lasted for seven hours. 

 

The leader of the gang and a nephew to the deceased housewife, Umar Auwalu, confessed to the crime.


He also admitted that the same syndicate has carried out a series of gruesome k!llings, including the m8rder and burning of two housewives at Tudun Yola Quarters, Kano.


According to the PPRO, four bloodstained clothes, the deceased's two mobile phones, stolen money, a cutlass, club (Gora), and other dangerous weapons were recovered from the suspects. 


“The Kano State Police Command, acting on the directives of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, PhD, NPM, has leveraged intelligence-led policing to apprehend three (03) suspected masterminds behind the brutal m8rder of a housewife and her six (06) children in Dorayi Chiranchi Quarters, Kano on 17th January, 2026,” the statement read.


"Under the direction of Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, PhD, sfipma, mnim, mnips, masis, a team of police crack operatives successfully arrested the suspects.


"The suspects, Umar Auwalu, 'm', 23 years old of Sabuwar Gandu Quarters Kano, Isyaku Yakubu, 'm', AKA 'Chebe', 40 years old, of Sagagi Quarters Kano, and Yakubu Abdulaziz, 'm', AKA 'Wawo', 21 years old, of Sabon Gida Sharada Quarters Kano, were arrested during a Sting Operation that lasted between 10pm of 17th January 2026 and 4am of 18th January 2026.
