 Mozambican government appeals for speedy international response to severe flooding The Mozambican government appealed has for a speedy humanitarian response to contain severe flooding, which has displaced hundreds of thousands and destroyed infrastructure in the Southeast African nation. The National Disaster Management Institute (INGD) said the country is experiencing the worst flooding in decades, which, according to statistics, has displaced 600,000 people in the worst-hit provinces of Gaza, Zambezia, Inhambane and Sofala. Around 40% of Gaza Province is said to be submerged. Weeks of torrential rains have triggered widespread flooding across Southern Africa, killing scores of victims. Actress Bimbo Ademoye cries out as man allegedly pirates her movie, uploads it on YouTube and gets it demonetised Actress Bimbo Ademoye has raised alarm over the alleged piracy of her movie by a man identified as Emmanuel Davis. In a video shared online, the actress said the man uploaded her movie on YouTube without permission, an action she claims led to her original content being demonetised. Bimbo, who appeared visibly upset, said the situation had taken a toll on her mentally, physically and financially, especially after what she described as a very stressful week. She also accused the same individual of taking a song made specifically for her by singer Ugochi, uploading it on streaming platforms, and claiming ownership of it. According to the actress, the song was never officially uploaded by the singer to avoid issues like piracy.
