  Sudan: At least 89 killed in paramilitary attack At least 89 have been killed in a cluster of villages in the Sudanese city of Omdurman by the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) a Sudanese human rights organization has said, AP reported. Many more were injured in the attack that saw the paramilitary group carrying out random artillery shelling and direct gunfire. The Emergency Lawyer’s Association has accused the RSF of violating "human rights and international law," the statement added that its forces engaged in widespread looting of homes and shops, arrested several young men from the villages "and forced them at gunpoint to transport the looted goods." Many have fled to the Jabal Awlia area, in hopes of finding safety. APC LEADER,SHOT DEAD BY ARMED ROBBERS.

•The late APC leader, Jimoh Hakeem          Engineer Akeem Arowolo Jimoh,has been shot by armed robbers at his residence on Kelani street,at Dopemu in Agege local government area of Lagos state,early sunday morning.He was the ex chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance.APGA,and he left for All Progressive Congress APC.the Robbers ransacked his residence around 2am and they could not find anything valuables in his house,it was because they could not get anything from him,including money that was why he was shot.He was a graduate of electric Engineering from the Kwara stste polytechnic,Ilorin,Kwara state.He has been buried according to Islamic rights.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
