 The videos were leaked without my consent- actress Nana Akua Addo reacts to viral domestic violence videos, says police have commenced investigation into the assault Ghanaian actress, Nana Akua Addo, says the heartbreaking videos showing her battered face as well as videos of her children being ass@ulted by her husband were leaked without her consent. In a statement released, Nana who spoke via her lawyers, said the leaked videos are a deep violation of her privacy and that of her children. She appealed to the public to desist from publishing the videos, particularly the one with her children in it. Nana’s lawyers said the matter is currently being investigated by the police and she is certain that the courts will stand against domestic v!iolence. The Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Professor Muhammad Ali Pate, says the government is accelerating investments in healthcare infrastructure across the country. Speaking at the Inauguration, Professor Pate said 10 MedServe diagnostic facilities have been completed, while three of six planned cancer centres have also been completed, with the remaining three under construction.  Governor Buni Approves Placement of Over 1,000 Medical and Health Sciences Students On Salary Scales, /Upgrade of CONMESS Salary, Allowances The Governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni has approved the employment of over 1,000 Medical Students and Allied Health Science Students on training in higher institutions of learning within and outside the country. The Governor's approval stated that 294 medical students have been employed on GL 07/2, while 801 Allied Health Science Students were employed on GL 05/2. This is to serve as an incentive to support the students to pursue their courses of study with vigour and commitment, and to serve in government health facilities after completion of their studies Governor Buni said.  FG COMMITTEE SEEKS TWO WEEKS EXTENSION TO PROBE DEATHS OF 37 IN NSCDC CUSTODY The Federal Government’s independent committee investigating the reported deaths of 37 persons in NSCDC custody in Niger State has asked for an additional two weeks to complete its assignment. Chairman of the Committee, Jonathan Kure, says appreciable progress has been made since its inauguration, including inspection of the custody facility, conduct of autopsies, and taking of statements from NSCDC personnel, survivors, families and other witnesses. The Committee says the additional two weeks will enable it to review the volume of evidence and testimonies gathered, while giving all persons implicated in the incident an opportunity to respond. The Committee is now expected to complete its investigation and submit its report by 21st October, 2026.

 Zambia accepts $1.5b US health funding after clause on medical data revised, minister says Zambia's government will sign an agreement allowing it to receive $1.5 billion in health funding from the United States after resolving concerns over Washington's request for medical data, its health minister said on Tuesday. Earlier this year negotiations stalled over Zambia's concerns over data privacy and a US attempt to tie the funding to access to critical minerals. "The government is pleased to announce that it will sign the agreement ... on Thursday," Chilengi said. The minister added that the agreement would see the US provide $1.5 billion in health funding over five years, while Zambia would spend $2.1 billion.

We checked into our hotel, and just as we settled in, a text message popped up. This must be some sick joke, I thought, but no one would that. We put on the news, and could not speak for a very long time.  We last saw Lord Archer in July, he was his usual ebullient self. I sent a message to Dame Mary and their sons, and spent most of the night awake.  Lord Archer was a very kind man. We had known him for over 40years. My first time meeting Jeffrey was unforgettable. I was speaking publicly for the first time. Afraid to miss the main points of the speech, which took me days to prepare, I read all of it. Everyone was being nice after my speech.  LSWMO INTENSIFIES COMPLIANCE ACTIVITIES, SEALS 14 PROPERTIES OVER ILLEGAL SEWAGE DISCHARGE The Lagos State Wastewater Management Office (LSWMO) has intensified its monitoring and compliance activities against the indiscriminate discharge of untreated wastewater, sealing 14 properties across Ikotun, Ikoyi, Isheri-Osun, Lagos Island, Ikorodu and Amuwo-Odofin for violations ranging from illegal sewage discharge to unauthorised connections to public drainage infrastructure. The operations, carried out in response to public complaints and findings from routine monitoring and investigations, underscore the Office’s renewed drive to protect public health, safeguard the environment and ensure compliance with Lagos State wastewater management regulations.  Ondo high chief k!lled in ‘accidental discharge’ during traditional funeral rites struck in Ayeka, a town in Okitipupa Local Government Area of Ondo State when a high chief was fatally shot during a traditional funeral rites.  According to Channels Television, the incident occurred on Monday, October 5, 2026 while the deceased’s colleagues were performing traditional funeral rites for him. According to an eyewitness account, the situation became tense when a yet-to-be-identified carrier of firearms suddenly discharged, and the bullet hit the High Chief in the head, resulting in instant d3ath. Some of the locals who were present at the ceremony said the unfortunate incident was a result of accidental discharge. Spokesperson of Ondo State Police Command, DSP Abayomi Jimoh, confirmed the incident on Tuesday, saying one suspect has been arrested. Jimoh added that a detailed investigation into the incident has commenced.

Man-Ugwueje tied the knot with Flight Lieutenant Damilola Adekunle on September 19, 2026, according to details of the wedding invitation and posts by vendors involved in the ceremony.
