 NAMA Conducts Flight Validation at Ogun’s Gateway Agro-Cargo Airport Officials from the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) carried out flight checks and procedure validation yesterday at the Gateway International Agro-Cargo Airport in Ogun State, marking a major step toward the commencement of commercial flight operations. Governor Dapo Abiodun welcomed the development and commended the NAMA team, led by Engr. Miri Selzing, for their professionalism and encouraging remarks about the airport’s infrastructure—including its 4-kilometre runway, the longest in Nigeria, and its well-equipped terminal building. The Governor noted NAMA’s recommendations on the installation of additional navigational aids such as the Instrument Landing System (ILS), and described the agency’s ongoing support as a reflection of strong collaboration between Ogun State and federal aviation stakeholders.  Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
