NKECHI EZE, ON TOUR OF POLICE MEDICAL FACILITIES IN THE STATE As AIG Intensifies Advocacy on “Know Your Numbers” Health Campaign The Commissioner of Police, Anambra State Command, CP Ikioye Orutugu, fwc mnips PhD, today 19th February 2026, received on behalf of officers and men of the Command, the Pioneer Force Medical Director, Nkechi Eze BDS MPH, fspsp Assistant Inspector-General of Police, during her official tour of all Police medical facilities in the State. The CP warmly welcomed the AIG and her entourage, describing the visit as timely and significant in strengthening healthcare delivery within the Command. He expressed appreciation for the Force Medical Directorate’s commitment to improving the health and wellbeing of Police personnel. BURKINA FASO PRESIDENT BLAISE COMPAORE,RESIGNS TODAY AFTER YESTERDAY'S PROTEST.

                 Today friday Burkina Faso's president Blaise Compaore announced his resignation in a statement today and called for a 90 day transition to free and transparent elections in the country.''I declare a vacancy of power with a view to allowing a transition that should finish with free and tansparent elections in a maximum period of 90 days''.Lieutenant Colonel Isaac Zida of the presidential guard had earlier announced Compaore's departure in the Central Place de la Nation in Burkina Faso's capital Ouagadougou to cheering from tens of thousands of protesters.Huge crowds had gathered to demand the presidents resignation after a day of violent protests yesterday thusday.Eye witnesses claimed that they saw President Compaore travelling out of the country towards the Southern town of Po near the border with Ghana.More pictures below.                   An army spokesman speaks to anti-government protesters outside military headquarters in Ouagadougou, capital of Burkina Faso, October 30, 2014.  Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive. We have approached Turkey for assistance.” The President, however, stated that the delays were affecting the public’s perception of the administration’s commitment to addressing the security challenges.
