 Four North Carolina utility workers were tragically killed when a dump truck driver drove through a stop sign and crashed into a crew of workers. This heartbreaking incident occurred at 1:23 p.m. on Thursday afternoon in Eden, North Carolina. According to reports, a City of Eden dump truck driven by 66-year-old Michael Vernon ran a stop sign at the intersection of Carroll and Church Street in Eden. After blowing through the intersection, Vernon struck 6 utility workers with Duke Energy who were working on power lines for Carolina Power and Signalization. The dump truck then struck an occupied bucket truck before going off the road into a ditch. Four of the utility workers were sadly pronounced deceased on the scene while 2 others were life-flighted to a nearby hospital in critical condition. BOKO HARAM KILLED 8 PEOPLE,AND KIDNAP 100 IN CAMEROON TODAY.

                           At least eight people were killed today tuesday and about 100 others were kidnapped by suspected Boko Haram militants in an overnight raid on a village near Cameroon's northern border,a local government and a military source said.Tchakarmari,the village targeted early today tuesday,lies north of Maroua,where dozens of people were killed in a series of suicide bombings by the Nigerian Islamist group last month.The local government source in the far North region said ''Residents said the attacks headed back to Nigeria where Cameroon is not allowed to pursue them''.A Senior military officer deployed as part of a Cameroonian military operation aimed at curbing the spillover of violence from Boko Haram's stronghold in north-eastern Nigeria said the attackers had crossed over from Nigeria shortly after midnight.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
