Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country. Today friday,at least 27 people were reportedly dead after Malian commandos stormed a luxury hotel identified as Radisson Blu hotel at Bamako with at least 170 people inside,many of them foreigners,that had been seized by Islamist gunmen.Later on 73 people were released and security forces are now trying to make their way through the Hotel.Another source said 18 bodies were found in the building ,then two attackers have been killed.Special forces teams have been moving through the hotel floor by floor,freeing hostages.The assailants had gathered on the seventh floor,while on lookers say they heard sporadic gunfire as the hostages situation continued.By late afternoon,ministerial adviser Amadou Sangho told a French television station BFMTV that no more hostages were being held.More photos below.
